This book is divided into five sections. After an introduction, three major sections deal with chemical peeling, dermabrasion, and laser resurfacing. Each of these sections contains several chapters describing the skin response to the procedures, various methods and techniques, and pre/post-operative considerations. The sections on chemical peeling and dermabrasion present new approaches to these established techniques which confirm that these procedures have not been made obsolete by the "new kid on the block" (laser resurfacing, which is elegantly covered in section 4). The last section covers combination approaches, including combining the three methods with each other and with other cosmetic procedures used in treating the aging face. The book has an adequate quantity of illustrations and fairly current reference lists.
